Sunday, January 29 thousands gathered in Copley Square in Boston to protest the Trump executive orders targeting Muslims and immigrants. It was organized by CAIR Massachusetts and featured speakers including Mayor Walsh and U.S. Senators Warren and Markey.

After the second major snow storm in eight days, Boston was pretty much brought to a grinding halt. The MBTA trains broke down and buses were stuck on unplowed streets. According to transit officials, regular service might not be restored until next week. Despite all this, the Patriots parade had to happen Wednesday because the players would not be available if it were delayed any longer

On Monday December 22, a group of a few dozen Boston-area high school students walked out of class and met at the State House to protest police violence and brutality. Monday's walkout was organized by some of the same students as High School Student March on December 9. It was also one of the first protests in Boston after the Saturday murders of two NYPD officers.
