I recently attended a conference in Nashville, Tennessee and shot a few street photos on Broadway Friday evening.
These are from three separate protests in Boston on inauguration day, January 20. Two protests started from the Boston Common and one from Dewey Square.
Sunday, January 29 thousands gathered in Copley Square in Boston to protest the Trump executive orders targeting Muslims and immigrants. It was organized by CAIR Massachusetts and featured speakers including Mayor Walsh and U.S. Senators Warren and Markey.
These are from the Saturday night protest of Trumps disastrous executive order barring entry to Muslims and certain nationalities to the U.S. The protest was organized on very short notice but managed to gather 500-600 people.
Codman Square in Dorchester is named for Rev. John Codman IV (1782 - 1847). His grandfather (John Codman II), a slave master and landowner in Charlestown, was famously poisoned by his slaves in 1755.
These are from the Monday, December 5 student walkout and protest of local middle school, high school, and college students. Protesters met in the Boston Common at 2 PM before marching to the State House and City Hall to deliver lists of demands to Governor Baker and Mayor Walsh, respectively.
These are from a vigil and march on November 2, 2016 for Terrence Coleman who was shot and killed by the Boston Police. Terrence Coleman, 31, was shot after EMTs were called to help with a mental health crisis by Terrance's mother, Hope Coleman.

The group Youth Jobs & Power Union marched from the Boston Common to City Hall in the afternoon of May 20th. The group of approximately fifty, carried signs and mock coffins, symbolizing the death of both minority youth and job opportunities. Many of the signs highlighted the giant funding disparity between jobs creation and law enforcement.
